The Archaeological Museum has been housed since 1916 in the building of the Hospital of the Knights, at Museum Square, near the commercial port city. There are finds from ancient Ialyssos and ancient Kamiros, sculptures from Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman period as well as mosaic floors from Hellenistic Age, from the town of Rodos. The main entry leads to a internal courtyard with a made of marble lion and mosaic flooring from an Early Christian church of 5th century B.C. Upstairs, there are sculptures of the season of Knights, funereal bas-reliefs of After-Roman Season as well as sepulchral columns, with more characteristic the Column of Kritoys and Timaristas.
